Set-up Configuration Requirements
Any firewalls, VPNs, cloud connections between the Windows Server and the host system must have the appropriate ports opened so that Flynet Jubilant can connect.
For each host connection, the software requires:
- IP address or DNS name of the target host.
- The port of the target host.
- The emulation protocol type.
- 3270 or 3270E for Mainframe.
- 5250 for IBM System i (iSeries / as400).
- The Terminal Device Type.
- Terminal type name, or capabilities such as 24 x 8 in color, 27 x 132 in monochrome, etc.
- The codepage used by the target host.
- Whether the host connection is Telnet or Telnet over TLS.
- If TLS is to be used, any client certificates that Flynet Jubilant must provide to the host.
- If TLS is to be used, if host / server certs must be verified, we will need the full certification chain from root to issuing CA used when creating the server cert. The full hostname used in the certificate must be known.
